ACG Dahiru Set To Interact With Stakeholders, Multinationals, Officers

In the continuous move to ensure trade facilitation and address issues bothering on it, the Assistant Comptroller Genera/ Zonal coordinator in charge of Zone ‘A  ‘of Nigeria Customs Service,  ACG Aminu  Dahiru has set to meet with stakeholders, manufacturers and  officers of his zone.

The meeting which will require the ACG  touring  all customs formations  under his zone is scheduled to run  between July 23 through  August 3, 2018.

According to a statement signed by the Zonal PRO, Zone A headquarters  Umar S. I. and made available to Dailyfocus News  the  visit will enable the ACG opportunity to  interact with officers and men, stakeholders and host communities under his zone.

The visit is  also intend to  look into areas where the service can proffer solutions to some of challenges faced by officers and men ,assist the communities involved and to address issues bothering on trade facilitation.

The two weeks tour will kick start on Monday from the Ikorodu Lighter Terminal to Federal Operations Unit (FOU), Zone A in Ikeja then end at Customs Training College.

Among the multinationals the Customs boss is scheduled to visit include; International Breweries Plc and British American Tobacco, Nigeria in Oyo State.

The ACG is also expected to visit the Guangdong Free Trade Zone as part of efforts in sensitising stakeholders and officers on improving trade facilitation.

The ACG will also visit and engage stakeholders in Apapa, Tin Can Island, Kirikiri Lighter Terminal, Seme commands within the period.

The statement further called on Customs Area Controllers of the scheduled commands to facilitate necessary arrangements for a smooth conduct during the period.

Zone  A of the Nigeria Customs Service comprises of all Customs formations in  Lagos, Ogun, Oyo/Osun and Ondo/Akure
