Maritime Chieftain Urges WIMAfrica-Nigeria To Create Room For More Women

A maritime chieftain, Prince Olayiwola Shittu has urged WIMAfrica-Nigeria to create room for more women members to join, saying that the association could meet its expectations when it has a large membership.

 Prince Shittu who is the former President of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) made this call to the executives  of Women in Africa Nigeria during a courtesy call to his office in Lagos.


Shittu, while pledging  his support for WIMA Nigeria  in achieving its mandate, suggests that more women should be inducted into the maritime profession.
He said with the leadership roles being played by women, he foresee a woman becoming the next President of Nigeria.

“The executives should ensure that a larger part of women in the maritime industry are part of the membership of WIMAfrica-Nigeria.


“The executives should reach out to other women and improve on sensitisation because if you do not tell people about the organisation, they will not be aware of your activities. he said
