The inauguration of blue economy coordinating Group which is set to hold today, the 15th of June 2021 has been postponed till further notice.
The inauguration of the group which is a private initiative was set with the sole aim of enhancing sustainable exploitation of Nigeria’s blue economy resources.
According to a release signed by the group secretary, Suleiman Adama ED, states that the inauguration has been put on hold till a later date due to some issues.
The statement reads “We regret to announce the postponement of the above Inauguration, earlier slated for 15th June, 2021 due to circumstances beyond our control.
“A new date will be announced soon.
We regret all inconveniences this might have caused”
Recall that the team of nine eminent Nigerians to be inaugurated will be performed by the immediate past Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr Dakuku Peterside through Zoom.
While members of the Group are expected to bring their rich vein of experience in the Maritime industry to bear in the execution of Consultancy/Advisory projects.
