The Oyo/Osun Area Command of Nigeria Customs Service on Wednesday 13th October 2021 handed over a 33,000 litres truck tanker conveying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and 2 suspects intercepted along Iseyin Road to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
The Area controller of the Command, Comptroller Adamu Abdukadir while speaking to news men at to the Command headquarters in Ibadan disclosed that the handing over was a directive of the Comptroller General of Customs, Col Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd) and it’s in line with the improved synergy between both Security Agencies.
He however sound a note of warning to the perpetrators of this evil act of smuggling whom he tagged economic saboteurs of the country.
“The officers and men of Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service would not relent in its drive to eliminate smuggling within the state in consonance with relevant laws guiding the Service.
“Let all the economic saboteurs desist from their evil act, get themselves engage in a better job or continue to face the law” Comptroller Abdukadir said.
Taking over the 33,000litres truck tanker and the 2 suspects was representative of the Commandant of NSCDC Oyo State Command Head of Anti-Vandal DCC Oladiji Subair, who appreciated the Command and Service in general for the robust synergy.
