Mrs Ibidapo was recently promoted to the rank of Comptroller of Customs which is the peak of career in the Nigeria Customs Service.
The event was celebrated amidst pulp and pageantry at the Raddinson Blu hotel in Ikeja GRA on Sunday after a thanks giving service at The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Christ Church, Lagos Province 35 headquarters, Gbagada Lagos.
Friends, family and colleagues were all filled with appreciation to God for making Comptroller Anthony Abosede Ibidapo attained success in reaching the peak of her career after several attempt.
It was outpouring of accolades, prayers and good wishes to the newly promoted Customs controller from all and sundry present at the gathering.
Comptroller Anthony Ibidapo hails from Lagos State and her insightful career journey began in 1988 when she joined the work force of Nigeria Customs Service.
She graduated from the prestigious University of Lagos with a BSC Education Certificate in the year 1987 and joined the Nigeria Customs Service in 1988.
In her years of working in the Nigeria Customs Service, she has always been seen by other officers as a disciplined, honest officer and a role model to all.
She has served in various Customs commands in Lagos, Owerri, Akwa Ibon, Ondo and others states of the federation in different sensitive positions and units ranging from Customs Intelligence Unit (CIU) , Customs Valuation Unit (CVU), Resident Officer Unit and others.
Her recent promotion came while she was tirelessly committing herself to mentoring and training of incoming and other Customs officer as Deputy Commandant at the Customs Training School in ikeja.
Comptroller Abosede who is a team player with an amazing and highly commendable undying passion for uncommon patriotism for her father land, has other professional certificates from college of education and also obtained her MBA Marketing from a prestigious University in Nigeria.
Accolades from childhood friends and school mates described the happily married with two beautiful daughters, Anthony Abosede as a blessing to her family and friends, including the service..
Giving his votes of thanks, her wonderful and understandable husband, Mr Tony Ibidapo described her as a goal getter.
He gave assurance of his continuos support in ensuring her success even after her retirement and any venture she will like to undertake after her retirement from the Customs Service.
Dignitaries from all walks of life were in attendant at the thanks giving service and dinner party. Both serving and retired Customs officers, notable among them are DCG Shina Odumaku (rtd), DCG Grace Banke Adeyemo who was her direct boss in the Service, among others. .
