Mrs Jean Chiazor Anishere, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) has been honored in the just concluded Pan-African Women Economic Summit held in Tanzania.
The event which was declared open, by the Hon. Minister for Foreign Affairs and East Africa Corporation, Madame Liberata Mula mula
The award nomination came up under a special category is tagged ‘PROGRESSIVE LEADERSHIP AWARD’ and its in recognition of Mrs Jean Anishere outstanding performance, commitment and positive impact in respect to her exceptional leadership in changing the narratives and perception within her organization and the continent at large.
The Award was presented to her in grand style on Thursday 28th during the “African Gala Dinner & Awards” at Johari Rotana Hotel, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
According to the nomination letter sent to Mrs Anishere on the 6th day of June, 2022, and duly signed by the CEO, Tanzania Women CEOs Roundtable,
Pan Africa Women Economic Summit 2022, Dar es Salaam, Emma R. Kawawa, it states that she’s been nominated for the honor due to her outstanding performance and act of turning situations around positively.
It reads “On behalf of the organizing committee of the Pan African Women Economic Summit, we write to inform you that you have been nominated to be honored with the 2022 “PAN AFRICAN WOMEN ECONOMIC SUMMIT
AWARD” in special category tagged.

The Pan African Women Economic Summit aims to position African women at the forefront of the execution of AFCFTA through creating business linkages, discover other sources of capital, share experiences and build
new partnerships to enhance their entrepreneurial capacities.
Congratulating her for the special recognition honor, the president of Women in Maritime Africa (WIMA), Nigeria, Mrs Rollens Macfoy pointed that it is an honor well deserved for a special breed SAN as Mrs Anishere.

In her response, Mrs Jean Chiazor Anishere says she give all thanks to God for the honour bestowed on her by the Pan-African Women Economic Summit 2022,
This, she said its in recognition of her selfless services towards the empowerment of African Women in Maritime Sector.
According to her ” I am encouraged to do more for my sisters, both young and old members of women in Maritime and Shipping within our beautiful Continent, Africa, in particular.
“And because I believe in inclusivity, my selfless service is not only limited to the women but both men and women, boys and girls in the maritime sector and I pledge my unfletching support for the industry as well” Anishere quipped.
Mrs Jean Chiazor Anishere is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), is a successful author of books, editor in chief Of Admiralty Law Reports of Nigeria.
She has received several awards both internationally and locally, notable among them are international Women of the year (1997-1998) by the International Biographical Center of Cambridge in recognition of her services to Law and the International Professional of the year 2095 for her excellent practice in the field of law.
In the year 2021 , she was listed as one of the prominent Nigerians honoured by the maritime Academy of Nigeria(MAN) Oron Akwa Ibom as a result of her contributions to the support of training and development of the cadets by way of donating books to the academy Library and other Goodwill’s.
Her name is published in the “Who’s Who Legal Nigeria”. The immediate past Continental President of Women in Maritime Africa (WIMAFRICA) and a principal Counsel of JEAN CHIAZOR and Co. (OFIANYI CHAMBERS) with numerous professional membership and affiliations.
