The publisher / Editor in -chief of People’s Forum Plus Magazine, Pst Tunde Ojudun has warned that everyone should imbibe the culture of being security conscious in this period as we are fast approaching the election year.

Pst Tunde Ojudun gave this charge yesterday during the 13th year anniversary of the magazine at Rockview hotel in Apapa Lagos.

Ojudun stated that the 13th year anniversary of the magazine is dwell on security challenge issues in respect to the election year which is around the corner.

He noted that security issues needs urgent attention “The precarious security situation seems to have defied all solution , aside the known groups like Boko Haram, ISWAP, bandits and those tagged unknown gunmen, there are rings of local criminals taking advantage of the present state of things to unleashed terror on the people.

” These local criminals manifest as kidnappers, ritualists, armed robbers and cultist. They can operate anywhere and especially on lonely paths / roads and in the dark.

” It becomes necessary to therefore stop traveling by night and even going out in the dark all alone. If you usually close late from office and must go with public transport, ensure you board only commercial vehicles that have many passengers” the publisher says.

He however advised that people should avoid travelling by road as it poised more danger and even more expensive than air travelling if being abducted by those posting a treat to the security of the country.

The peak of the event was the presentation of appreciation honors by the management to appreciate individuals and Corperate bodies that gave been source of encouragements to the magazine for over a decade.

Speaking with one of the recipients of the honors, Mrs Onome Joy Monije, a reputable Licensed Customs agent with over two decades of experience in the maritime sector, she disclosed that it is a thing of happiness to be recognize in your chosen profession as it will spur you to do more.

 

Mrs Onome advice that people should always strive to excel and stand out in whatever field of profession they find themselves, “You never can tell who is taking count of your deeds” she says.
