Jean Chiazor Anishere is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria SAN and one of Nigeria’s most prominent Maritime lawyers. A successful author, having already written five volumes of Essays in Admiralty – a comprehensive collection of essays and learned papers focused on maritime law, published by one of UK’s prominent publishers in Maritime books – Petrospot UK. Jean’s books are also found in the British Council Libraries.
She is the Editor – In – Chief of Admiralty Law Reports of Nigeria, volumes 1 – 20 (A compendium of Judgments on Admiralty Matters in Nigeria, through the Federal High Courts, to the Supreme Court of Nigeria) with a comprehensive index of cases published so far.
Jean Chiazor Anishere SAN holds a Bachelor of Law Degree (LL. B) from the University of Ife, Ile-Ife, 1985 (Now Obafemi Awolowo University); Master of Law, LL.M from the University of Lagos, Akoka in 1994 and Master in Transport Management- Ladoke Akintola University, 1995.
She also holds a Certificate of Merit in Shipping (Anatomy of Shipping) from the Cambridge Academy of Transport, UK in 1996. Jean was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1986 and sworn a Notary Public by the Supreme Court of Nigeria, in 1990.
She has won several awards both nationally and Internationally ,among them are International Woman of the Year (1997-1998) by the International Biographical Centre of Cambridge, in recognition of her services to law, and the International Professional of the Year 2005, for her excellent practice in the field of law.
Jean is a Maritime Legal Consultant to the Nigerian House of Representatives’ Committee on Marine transport, She trained the first set of the Cabotage enforcement officers for NIMASA. She is a founding member of the Committee of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council, in collaboration with the National Judicial Institute on the bi-annual Maritime Seminar for Judges.
As a goal getter and woman of immense experience in the Maritme Industry, especially in Maritme law, she presided as Co–Chair of the Nigerian Admiralty Law and Procedure Reform Committee, 2020. She is a Member of International Bar Association; Chairman Welfare Committee of The Nigerian Bar Association; Member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK); Member, International Chamber of Commerce – Nigeria. She sat as a member of a three panel Arbitrators, in two tough arbitrations: The Exxon-Mobil and SCOA Vs. Coscharis. And regularly sit in negotiations between Ship owning Companies whenever there is a dispute between them on collision or short landing of cargoes.

Comrade Onome Joy Monije is the Public Relations Officer of the Association of Nigeria Customs Agents (ANLCA) Tin Can Island Chapter, and Senior Special Assistant to the fire brand Acting National President of ANLCA, Dr. Kayode Farinto Collins as well as the Chief Executive Officer, ONAS 100 RESOURCES NIGERIA LIMITED, a Customs Licenced Agency, a company She registered fifteen years ago and has diligently managed till date.
From Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, the indefatigable Onome as she is fondly called, the Maritime entrepreneur and Mouthpiece of ANLCA, Tincan Chapter, leverages her outspokenness and grasp of the system to courageously lay bare the challenges faced by freight forwarders in every given fora, little wonder she has endeared herself to critical Maritime stakeholders.

AWARDEE- MR UZOMA C. NWAGU: AN AVIATION EXPERT OF REPUTE
Mr Uzoma Nwagu hails from Umudioka in Anambra State. Born in the 60’s and the last child in his family. He had his Primary School education at Odakpu Central School in Onitsha, and later proceeded to Higher School between 1976-1978.
He also attended extra-moral classes at Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu, that prepared ground for his professional examinations. Subsequentiy; Chartered Institute of Commerce, London and Nigeria, as well as Faculty of Secretaries and Administrators, London. Nwagu is also certificated by the Society of Company and Commercial Accountant, London (ATS).
He started his working career with the defunct Nigeria Airport Authority, now the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), between September 1982 – 1998 in the account department.
In 2000, he joined Skywatch Aviation Services Limited as Operations Manager, a position he held for eight years before he voluntarily resigned in 2007.
He co-founded LTT Cargo and Aviation Services Limited/ Qualicare Global Logistics Limited, where he, apart from been a shareholder, and also held the position of Director of Operations from 2007-2015.
Nwagu founded his own company Excel Cargo and Aviation Services Limited in 2015 and commenced operations in 2016, having registered and certified by the regulatory authorities; Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).
Mr Nwagu prior to the establishment of Excel, attended a special course in Singapore in 2012, where he was taught on the rudiments of aviation practice and management.
Amongst other certificates this vibrant Nigerian have acquired includes; Security and Operations Course for Staff of Allied Aviation Services (Agent of Foreign Airlines), in 2007, Introductory Course for Flight Operations Personnel 2008,
Security and Operational Course for Staff of Allied Aviation Services (Agent of Foreign Airlines ), 2010, Dangerous Goods Regulations course, (DGR) 2012 and Dangerous Goods Regulations CAT 6, all from the prestigious Aero Consult, licensed by the NCAA.
To his credit also, he participated in Flight Operations Conference, Lagos, Nigeria, organized by Boeing Aircraft Company in collaboration with the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) in time past. His interest in aviation stems from the fact that the industry is dynamic and glamorous, apart from exposing one to wonders of creation.
Aviation being a sensitive industry, according to Mr Nwagu, shaped his horizon in dealing with issues meticulously, as a manager of persons and resources. He believes that the industry is wide and can accommodate everyone, all things being equal. He sees himself and his organization as partners in progress in the Aviation Industry and hoped someday, that Excel Cargo and Aviation Services Limited, would become a holder of an AOC in time to come.
Nwagu is a member of Association of Foreign Airlines and Representatives in Nigeria (AFARN). He has travelled wide, locally and internationally. Mr Uzoma Nwagu is happily married to the glory of God who is the provider of all things.

Comrade Michael Adetumi, the present Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Tin Can Island District 2 Dockworkers Branch is a leader with great zeal to serve his people.
Born in the 70s, Comrade Michael Adetumi join the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria in 2002 under Dockworkers branch . He was the Organizing Secretary of Tin Can Island District Unit for two tenures of four years each .
Adetumi among other great leaders of the union stood by the dockworkers during the concessioning of the Nigerian seaports in 2006.
He has been the Chairman, District Units of MWUN in last six years and still counting. Having served as chairman for four years and presently running for his second tenure in office, under Dockworkers branch out of the four branches of maritime workers union of Nigeria.
He is a brilliant leader and has enormous experience being a member of maritime workers union of Nigeria since the era of Comrade Irabor till date.

A game Changer who brought dignity, integrity and respects to ANLCA in his eight years administration in the history of the association.He is a Father, Comrade, Adviser, Crowd mover, an achiever and promise keeper of which many stakeholders and association members will never forget him in a hurry.
He turn the magic wand in ANLCA by building a befitting National Secretariat for the association which has existed since 1954, without a permanent and functional national secretariat. Shittu broke that jinx and kept to his campaign promise of handing over an equipped national secretariat to the association. He is an astute manager of men and resources, as such he earns respects of all Maritme stakeholders and beyond.

Alhaji (Prince) Olayiwola Shittu (JP) popularly called “President Emeritus” in the maritime industry serves in the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Warri for 11 years, before venturing into Customs Brokerage and Freight Forwarding Business in 1984.
In association politics, Shittu has served in various capacities and all cadres of managerial endeavours in the biggest and oldest Customs Brokerage practitioners in Nigeria ( ANLCA), before becoming their National President.
He has served as the elected Chairman of Port Harcourt Airport several years ago, a feat that has not been beaten up-to date as a non indigene. He equally served as an elected National Publicity Secretary (NPS) of the ANLCA. He served as the Association’s Electoral Commission Chairman ( ASECO) up till 2010 when he handed over the mantle of leadership of the electoral commission to enable him contest as the National President of the association.
Under his leadership, ANLCA won the best Customs Brokers Association in Africa for two years running and was accredited a Board Member of International Federation Of Customs Brokers Association (IFCBA). Comrade. Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya
was born on the 3rd of March 1961 to the family of Mr. Abiodun Akinsanya in Elero Chieftaincy family of Egan in Alimosho Constituency of Ikeja Division, Lagos West Senatorial District; Lagos State, Nigeria. His Maternal family , from IGE Lineage of both ODUNTAN Chieftaincy family and BEKU Onimaba Royal family respectively in Igando-Lagos.
He is a well-groomed and educated son of the soil with administrative experienced in Local Government Administration. His resilience and doggedness fellows with humility.
A silent achiever of several feats .
Lasisi Ayinde Akinsaya went to Local Government Primary School,Egan for his First School Leaving Certificate. He then proceeded to Awori Anglican Comprehensive High School, Ipaja between 1975 to 1980 for his Secondary School Certificate. He was also trained at Local Government Training School, Ikeja with stage II Certificate in Local Government Administration 1993/1994.

(Hons.) Degree in History and International Studies from Lagos State University.
He is a fellow and member of Chartered Institute of Public Management of Nigeria.
For his work experience, he joined Alimosho Local Government Administration as a Civil Servant on the 15th of August 1980 as a Junior Cadre.
He was a former Market Master General for several years with accountability to different heads of Alimosho Local Government. He was also a former Clerk of the House in Igando-Ikotun LCDA. and also Secretary of Chieftaincy (Obas in Council) in Alimosho Local Government.

Dr Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam is an astute politician, businessman and philanthropist . A maritime guru and founder of both the New Nigerian Peoples party ( NNPP) and National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF). Both organisations are making waves at the political sector and the maritme sub-sector respectively.
He was born in Umuawulu , Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State, South East Nigeria in the 50ties. A renowned practitioner in the freight forwarding, logistics and shipping business in Nigeria.
The young Boniface Aniebonam had the same usual growing experience as every other of his age . He had both his Primary and Secondary School education in Umuawulu, his village . An active sports person with a special bias for football. He was a member of his school football team (both at primary and secondary levels). A talent he exhibited to the level of playing for a national football club.
Dr Aniebonam, though an active sportman did not allow his quest for knowledge to be sacrificed on the alter of sports as he proceeded to the College of Agriculture, Ahmadu Bello University, Samari, Zaria to study Mechanized Agriculture. He is the founder and first National President of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF). NAGAFFi is the foremost freight forwarding association in Nigeria. A member of the Council for Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria ( CRFFN). NAGAFF is a critical stakeholder in the maritime and air freight industry in Nigeria.
Through, NAGAFF, Dr Aniebonam has contributed to the empowerment of young freight forwarders by establishing NAGAFF academy , a school for training and retraining of fresh freight forwarders as well as practitioners. He is also the Chairman of Aniebonam Organization, a conglomerate comprising Ojokoro Cement Industry, JLK Ventures Ltd, etc.
All his business interests have been playing major roles in shipping, logistics and supply chain management as well as manufacturing. Dr Kayode Farinto Collins (FISM–GHANA) is a Customs broker and Acting National President of the Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) and a second term Board Member of the Council for Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN).
As a Customs Broker/Clearing Agent of over 26 years experience in Customs Clearing, Cargo consolidation and the logistics chain, he has seen it all and has full knowledge on the workings of the maritme sub- sector. He is an expert in logistics and as a freight forwarder with his registered company with the Board of Customs under the name , Wealthy Honey Investment Nigeria Limited.
His working experience started from
(1995 -2004 ) as Logistics Manager.
