Ocean Deep Maritime Academy was approved In 2018 by the Nigerian Maritime and Safety Agency (NIMASA), celebrates it’s 2023 annual thanksgiving service which marks it’s 12years anniversary, on Sunday 26th March at Local Christian Assembly, Ebute Metta Lagos.

The celebration also doubles as the 25years wedding anniversary of the Company Chairman and the CEO, Mr Micheal Macfoy and Mrs Rollens Macfoy, making it a two in one celebration for the Oceandeep Services Limited crew.
Speaking at the thanksgiving reception, the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mrs Rollens Macfoy who is popularly known in the Maritime sector as “mama seafarers” thanked all the company’s clients and everyone that has stood by them over the years and contributed to what ocean deep has become.
Mrs Macfoy also appreciate the chairman of the company, Mr Micheal Macfoy who she nicked named as her “God in flesh” for always been on ground to render needed support as at when due, as well as her staffs who has made her strong over the years.
While appreciating the Maritime community that has exposed her so well especially in her career path , she hinted that she owe a lot of alligence to WIMA Nigeria who deem it fit to vote her in as the current president of the association which has also helped her to go round the world in that capacity.
She also sent her appreciation specially to Mrs Jean Chiazor Anishere (SAN) who has been a great mentor to her since she served under her as a secretary through Vice President and now currently President of WIMA Nigeria.
Also speaking at the thanksgiving reception, Mrs Jean Chiazor Anishere (SAN) described Mrs Macfoy as a dedicated, loyal and result oriented woman.
Jean Chiazor Anishere, said she met Mrs Macfoy years ago and it has been an awesome experience working with her at the association level in different capacity. “I heard when she said she stumbled into Maritime Industry.
“Macfoy was so humble, dedicated and fast operator and I make sure she grow in every organisation I belong , because you can be rest assure of her prompt delivery of any task given to her.
“She had been recognized nationally and internationally and am so proud of her. She once represent me at a conference in Kenya , and she did so well that she was made to chair a committee. Her humility and dedication is second to none” Anishere quipped.
Adding her voice , Barr. Mrs Gloria Kanabe praised Mrs Macfoys teachability and humble attitude, stating that she is open to correction and always heed to advise.
Words of encomium and testimonies were spoken in honor of the company’s CEO for all her good deeds in impacting lives.
Award of appreciation and gift were presented to various individuals for their parts and immense contributions to the formation of Oceandeep Services Limited
The peak of the ceremony was the presentation of landed documents to one the staffs, Mrs Aisha Esther Umukoro who started with the company 10years ago as a cleaner, obtained her degree with the support of the company and rose to the position of Head, Human Resources Manager and Admin.

The CEO, Mrs Rollens Macfoy is a seasoned Maritime Administrator, specialist in Cabotage and Maritime Labour Mediation. UK trained Professional in Crewing and Manning. Expert in Maritime Security & Administration. A hand tested on several multi – national Oil & Gas and shipping companies respectively as well as on government assignments and projects in Nigeria and Africa at large. Have held management positions in several multinational maritime organization in the last 19 years.
She is the first Nigerian Woman to own a Crewing & Manning company and a Maritime institution.
