In commemoration of the 2024 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking, the Area Controller of Apapa Customs Command, Comptroller Babatunde Olomu PhD fsi, Tuesday participated in the Walk Against Drugs abuse and trafficking.
According to a statement issued at the end of the walk, by the Command Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Customs
Abubakar Usman, stated that the CAC joined the Commander NDLEA, Apapa Special Area Command, and other government agencies in the port to bring awareness on the dangers inherent in drug abuse.
The statement reads that the Customs boss noted that such collaboration between sister agencies of government is crucial for intelligence sharing and ensuring public safety.
He further noted that by working together, security agencies can achieve greater success and better protect their communities than they could alone.
