Ag. CGC Meets With Maritime Media, Seeks Working Support.

In keeping with organised media engagement aimed at fostering viable working relationship, the Acting Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, has solicit the support of Maritime Journalist in running the service smoothly.

 

Ag. CGC who disclosed that the meeting was held in other for him to report himself to the Maritime Media that their former National Public Relations Officer of the Service is now the Acting Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) made this known on Sunday during a dinner meeting with the Maritime Media at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja Lagos.

Ag. CGC Adewale Adeniyi, said that it should be a thing of joy for.the maritime journalists that their very own is now in the helms of affairs of the Nigeria Customs Service. Adding that it will be a collective failure if he fail as Comptroller General of Customs as the failure will not be his alone.

In his words “It should be a thing of joy for maritime journalists if I runs the affairs of the Service very well and succeed.

“The failure will not be mine alone. It will be something we’ll all share because I will open my door to you. You will have the opportunity to shape the direction with the Customs management. It had been like that when I was the PRO. It will possibly be better now that I am the Acting CG.” he said.

He however added that he has come to solicit for the journalists support, guidance, collaboration and partnership in steering the affairs of Customs.

He stated that he s  counting on their support, the CGC informed them that he has a focus to drive the Service to success as he had learnt from previous Comptrollers General who he worked closely with and learnt best practices.

While promising to put his best leadership styles to play and operate an open door policy, the CGC prayed that he would not disappoint the media but would be a Customs Comptroller General they will be proud of.

The Ag. CGC who attended the dinner meeting with his management teams however observed  a minutes silent and prayers in honor of the departed journalists and their families.
