The Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) has put all preparation in top gear to hold the 2019 Appreciation Night for Stakeholder’s on Thursday, December 12 at Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island.
The appreciation night which is an annual event and scheduled to holds by 5pm, is aimed at bringing together major players in the industry to rub minds on critical issues affecting it.
As stated in a release made available to newsmen on Monday, the event is expected to be chaired by Chief Oladipupo Jadesimi, Executive Chairman, Lagos Deep Offshore Logistics Base (LADOL), while the Honourable Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, would be the host of the event.
The one-day event would have in attendance, various stakeholders at the port including Shippers Associations, ship owners, and ship operators, seaports/ off dock terminal operators, freight forwarders, cargo consolidators, transport and logistics providers, truck owners and truck operators.
Other dignitaries expected to grace the occasion are Inland Dry Port concessionaires, organised private sectors, relevant government agencies, marine surveyors and maritime lawyers and arbitrators among others.
