… Ready To Embark On Peaceful Move For Reconciliation

The Western Zone of Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) have resolved to embark on peaceful move to address the disputes ravaging among aggrieved members.

The zone is set to address the dispute in some of it’s chapters by way of consultation and enforcement in other to to restore the association past glory.

Speaking at a meeting held on Tuesday at the national secretariat of the association in Lagos, the Coordinator in charge of the Western Zone, Mr Femi Anifowoshe stressed the need for members of the zone to learn from what was achieved by eastern zone of the association.

He hinted that majority of the problems faced by the western zone are centred around Tin Can Island Port and PTML Chapters respectively.

Anifowoshe disclosed that stakeholders are capitalizing on the crisis rocking the association to take advantage of them while stating that a lot of negativity has occurred in the Western Zone in the last four years of the Tony Iju Nwabunike administration.

He urged the chapter executives in the zone to work closely with the newly appointed zonal team has the team has what it takes to unite aggrieved members.

While maintaining that the newly appointed team will relate closely with the 100%Compliance Team of ANLCA, the zonal coordinator noted that the Western Zone officials will work round the clock to end the anomalies rocking the association.

Also at the meeting, the chapter chairman and some of the executives present, affirmed their support in tackling the challenges confronting trade facilitation,customs processes and procedures; and the existing division in the zone.

They pledged their support to work as a formidable team to end the misunderstanding rocking the association and ensure sanity back to the foremost clearing association.

They however called on the National Secretary of ANLCA to eject some of the aggrieved members of the association from it WhatsApp platform to enable them strategize on the best way out of finding lasting solutions to the problems.

Reacting to some of the submission made about removal of aggrieved members from the association WhatsApp group,q the National Secretary of ANLCA , Alhaji Babatunde Mukaila took a swift move in ejecting such members from the group.

Alhaji Mukaila however assured members of the Zone that the National President will take a decision on the issues of transition at the Seme border chapter of the association.

Chapter Chairmen and other executive of the Zone who are in attendance for the meeting are KLT, Seme, PTML, Apapa, Tincan and Airport chapter.
